In heavy mechanical engineering, the safe handling of heavy components is essential for future-oriented production. This requires, on the one hand, workpiece fixing and, on the other hand, accessibility of the weld seams in the optimum preferred trough position for the manual or automated process.

The HAANE positioners can be equipped with hydraulic fixing units up to a weight of 100 tons. Typically, manual alignment and fixing sometimes takes more than one shift. With HAANE’s automatic system, this is accomplished in under 10 minutes.

The various concepts manipulate workpieces with a maximum workpiece weight of up to 250 tons. In addition, the components can be adjusted in height using the positioners and thus be prepared for an optimized and safe loading and unloading process.

Rotation around two axes to the preferred welding position or synchronized movement with welding robots allows all degrees of freedom for optimized welding times with low non-productive times.

From the point of view of occupational safety, a major contribution is also made, as the positioner with integrated clamping device takes over work that was previously classified as dangerous.
